Born in 1993 and coming from a very humble rural background in eastern Uttar Pradesh, Abhishek was inclined towards creative forms during his school time and chose to pursue Art Education. He studied fine arts (ceramics) at the Banaras Hindu University and completed undergraduate programme specializing in Ceramics & Pottery in 2015. Then he moved to Vishva Bharati University to pursue his Masters Programme. During his study in Shantiniketan, he got opportunity to interact and work with many renowned artists. It gave him better exposure and compelled him to work on larger forms in ceramics. His composition of Trees and other larger-than-life works were much appreciated during various exhibitions in Varanasi, Shantiniketan and other places during 2011 to 2017. Abhishek completed his Masters Programme in 2017 from Vishva Bharati University with high accolades and praise.
After completing his study, he visited many places, met contemporary ceramic artists and got exposed to fast changing world of ceramic art. In his quest for excellence, he joined Kalawatika as instructor to share his vast knowledge; at the same time to unleash his mind for bigger and better ceramic works.
Now Abhishek is progressively working on consolidating his skills towards a definitive aim and carving his own unique forms with strong foundation in structure & aesthetics.
